Bain & Company Externships

Bain & Company offers students who have graduated from college a unique career in corporate strategy consulting. Students who join the Bain team are offered externship positions that allow them to jump start their career through six-month working assignments at other companies where they can pursue different career paths.

As Associate Consultants and Senior Associate Consultants, team members have an opportunity to broaden their consulting knowledge at consumer product companies, international think tanks, nonprofit charter schools, startup companies, and others. Following a six-month externship, consultants return to Bain with increased skills as a consultant and enhanced knowledge of other industries.

Externship opportunities are offered throughout the U.S. and internationally. The externship program is for outstanding consultants who have completed two years with the company and entering their third year of consulting.

Bain & Company, headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, provides corporate consulting services on company strategy, improving performance, marketing and customer service, mergers and acquisitions. They serve a number of industries that include consumer goods, healthcare, retail, utilities, energy sources, telecommunications, financial service, and technology, to name a few.
