Children's National Medical Center
Children's National Medical Center offers externship training programs for medical students that includes the areas of autism, psychology, and neuropsychology. The externships generally are one year in length.

Clinical Externships in Autism Evaluation, Consultation and Treatment are available for students studying psychology with a strong interest in working with children. The externship is held at the Center for Autism Spectrum Disorders and offers students training in evaluation, consultation and treatment of autism and related disorders in toddlers, children and adolescents.

The Neuropsychology Externship is located in the Division of Pediatric Neuropsychology at Children's National. Students in the program will work with faculty neuropsychologists, pediatric psychologists, postdoctoral fellows, and other interns and externs in the pre-doctoral program. The Psychology Externship is for students interested in a career in child clinical and pediatric psychology. It is held at the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences.

The externships are for students in their doctoral programs pertaining to these areas of medicine. Each externship has its own requirements and deadlines for applying.

The location is usually in MARYLAND.
