Cima Hospice Externships are offered to students who are interested in pursuing careers within the healthcare field. Externship opportunities are available for San Antonio Texas College students on campus and online.

Externships offer a rich, volunteer experience and a great educational opportunity for students. Externs will be able to work with Social Workers, Chaplains, RNs, LVNs, CNAs, and medical administrative staff in providing compassionate end-of-life care for over 300 patients in the San Antonio, Texas area.

Cima Hospice was founded in 2006 and has grown to 10 agencies that provide hospice services throughout several communities in Texas and Oklahoma. They support patients and their families who are experiencing life-limiting illnesses.

As investors, venture capitalists (VCs) are investing in new ideas, innovations, and most importantly teams, where do they begin? This is called deal sourcing. Externs will profile startup companies, learn what VCs look for, and be a part of investing in the next generation of technology. HP Tech Ventures is seeking ambitious students to help research relevant pre-seed stage startups for deal sourcing and evaluation. This project includes special data analytics projects that allow students to practice using analysis tools to perform business model, strategy, and value chain analysis. Foreign Medical Graduate U.S. Externships

Foreign Medical Graduate (FMG) U.S. Externships offer foreign medical students a hands-on clinical program that matches residency program requirements. It fills the experience requirement for students when they apply for a residency. The externship is different than just observing. Externships provide real, hands-on work experience for medical students. Externs will work with an attending physician and perform clinical duties such as assessing patient histories and performing physical examinations. All extern duties are done at a hospital under the supervision of a U.S. licensed attending physician.

Bain & Company offers students who have graduated from college a unique career in corporate strategy consulting. Students who join the Bain team are offered externship positions that allow them to jump start their career through six-month working assignments at other companies where they can pursue different career paths. As Associate Consultants and Senior Associate Consultants, team members have an opportunity to broaden their consulting knowledge at consumer product companies, international think tanks, nonprofit charter schools, startup companies, and others. Following a six-month externship, consultants return to Bain with increased skills as a consultant and enhanced knowledge of other industries.

Cornell Extern Program is open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all undergraduate colleges. It's an opportunity for students to explore their career options while still in college. Winter externships are offered during January and February. Externships can last from one day to one week. Eligible students will find externships available in numerous career fields and geographic locations around the world. The externships do no include pay or college credit. Students will be responsible for all expenses, including travel and housing.

UCLA Health Nursing Summer Externship Program offers work experience to nursing students who have completed their junior year and are entering their senior year of nursing school. The externship is unpaid. Externships are offered during the summer and take place at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center, UCLA Medical Center, Santa Monica, Mattel Children's Hospital UCLA, and The Stewart and Lynda Resnick Neuropsychiatric Hospital at UCLA. Christiana Care Health System Student Nurse Externships are offered to students enrolled in a nursing program and pursuing a career as a Registered Nurse. Students interested in applying must have completed at least one clinical rotation in an acute care setting. Student Nurse Externs work 16 hours bi-weekly and must also be available to work different shifts, holidays and weekends if necessary.
