Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience for vet tech/nursing students. With a focus on creating a supportive environment, VEG prioritizes both customer and employee satisfaction, earning recognition as one of INC Magazine's Best Places to Work. Flexibility in externship length and location, along with mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians, allows students to fully immerse themselves in emergency medicine, honing skills such as triaging cases and caring for hospitalized patients. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program, rabies vaccination, and availability for externship within 6 months.
