Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside experienced emergency veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like triage, patient care, and lab processing. The program prioritizes flexibility, allowing students to choose the length and location of their externship to meet school requirements. Candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited program and vaccinated for rabies unless exempt under school policy.
