Nurse Extern role involves providing patient care under a nurse's supervision, including tasks like patient transport and equipment handling. Requirements include high school graduation, enrollment in a nursing program (graduating between Dec 2024 and Aug 2025), BLS certification, and completion of Fundamentals of Nursing class. The program begins on June 3, 2024, and includes a 32-40 hour workweek until July 26, with applicants needing to submit an online application and cover letter specifying unit preferences and location choices within Centra's facilities. Positions are available in various departments, including Medical-Surgical, Maternal-Child, Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Specialty Hospital, and Operating Rooms.

Cornell Extern Program is open to college sophomores, juniors, and seniors from all undergraduate colleges. It's an opportunity for students to explore their career options while still in college. Winter externships are offered during January and February. Externships can last from one day to one week.
