Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience. Externs work alongside credentialed veterinary nurses, focusing on vital emergency skills like triage and patient care. Eligible candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and require externship hours. The program offers flexible duration, location choice, and dedicated mentorship. Rabies vaccination is mandatory, except for students exempt under their school's rabies mitigation policy.
