Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), a fast-growing emergency veterinary company in the U.S., offers an externship for vet tech/nursing students in emergency medicine. Participants gain hands-on experience in various emergency skills, working alongside experienced veterinary nurses. The program, which requires rabies vaccination (with exceptions based on school policy), is unpaid and customizable in length and location. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited vet tech/nursing program, and the externship should start within six months of applying. This opportunity is exclusively for veterinary technology/nursing students, not for veterinary or veterinary assistant students.
