Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), a growing U.S.-based emergency veterinary company, offers an externship for vet tech/nursing students focusing on emergency medicine. This hands-on program allows students to work alongside credentialed veterinary nurses, honing skills in patient care, laboratory work, and fast-paced clinical collaboration. The unpaid externship requires rabies vaccination (subject to school policies) and is flexible in duration and location. Open exclusively to students in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs, the externship aims to start within six months of application.
