Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. With a focus on providing exceptional customer service and employee satisfaction, VEG aims to revolutionize emergency medicine while prioritizing safety and value for both pets and employees. Students will work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) to gain experience in triaging cases, caring for hospitalized patients, and handling laboratory samples, with flexibility in externship length and location. Rabies vaccinations are required unless exempted by the student's school's policy, and applicants must be enrolled in a program requiring externship hours.
