Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program across the United States for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient care, triaging, and laboratory procedures. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship by experienced veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, and applicants must be actively enrolled in a relevant program.
