Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA-accredited vet tech/nursing students, focusing on emergency medicine. The program provides hands-on experience alongside credentialed veterinary technicians, emphasizing skills like patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Rabies vaccination is required, and students can choose the length and location of their externship, with mentorship provided.
