Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Students focus on emergency skills like obtaining vitals, processing lab samples, and caring for hospitalized patients. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship from experienced technicians. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited program, vaccinated for rabies, and ready to start within six months.
