Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA accredited vet tech/nursing students, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience alongside credentialed technicians. This unpaid externship focuses on honing emergency skills like patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Students choose the length and location of their externship, with mentorship from VEG Veterinary Nurses. Applicants must be enrolled in an accredited program, vaccinated for rabies, and start within six months.
