To apply, students must complete an application and submit it along with transcripts, a letter of recommendation, and a cover letter stating their reason for wanting to be accepted into the externship program.

Externships are offered and completed at Children's Medical Center in Dallas, Texas. Children's Medical Center is a private, non-profit center dedicated to treating children from birth to age 18. It is also a center for pediatric kidney, liver, intestine, heart and bone marrow transplants.

The location is usually in TEXAS.
