The Nurse Extern in this position will apply their nursing program knowledge and skills to provide direct patient care under the guidance of an RN/Nurse Leader. They must collaborate with other healthcare disciplines and adhere to patient care plans. The role involves completing tasks such as intravenous access, Foley catheter insertion, and recording I&Os. Nurse Externs are required to be currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program, possess BLS certification, and have strong communication and technical skills. The job entails handling high-stress situations, physical demands, and potential exposure to infectious diseases.
