This role involves LPN Nurse Externs providing continuous support to nurses and medical staff in a healthcare setting. They observe and communicate patient needs, offer emotional support, and assist with nursing interventions. The responsibilities include basic patient care, specimen collection, and ensuring a clean working environment. The candidate should be enrolled in an LPN program, have completed an adult care clinical rotation, and obtain AHA BLS-HCP certification within 90 days of hire. This position is with Carilion Clinic, a not-for-profit health system focused on innovation and collaboration.

The program is held every summer at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in Washington, D.C. The program lasts 10 weeks during which students will be trained for a career as a Nurse Tech.
