United Veterinary Care offers the BRIDGE Veterinary Technology Externships for second-year students or equivalent from accredited veterinary technician programs, available at over 100 locations nationwide. The unpaid externship at Peoria Area Veterinary Group focuses on small animal care and includes practical learning in various procedures, diagnostics, and client communication. Externs receive a start pack with essential tools, access to educational modules, and are expected to complete up to 200 hours. The program emphasizes diversity and inclusion, aiming to educate and elevate future veterinary technicians and nurses. Eligible candidates should have strong communication skills and be at least 18 years old.
