Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program to students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides practical, hands-on experience in emergency veterinary medicine, including patient vitals assessment, laboratory sample processing, patient care, and case triaging. This unpaid externship, available at various VEG locations, emphasizes flexibility in terms of length and location, depending on school requirements and hospital bandwidth.
