Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency veterinary medicine, under the guidance of experienced veterinary technicians. Students will learn vital skills such as obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, and caring for hospitalized patients in a fast-paced environment. This unpaid externship offers flexibility in duration and location, with a requirement for rabies vaccination, making it an excellent opportunity for students passionate about emergency veterinary care.
