Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an engaging Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, designed for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. This program, set in a customer-first, employee-centric emergency medical environment, provides extensive hands-on experience in various emergency skills like patient vitals assessment, laboratory sample processing, and patient care. The externship, while unpaid, offers valuable mentorship opportunities and the flexibility to choose the externship's length and location. Rabies vaccination is a prerequisite, subject to school policy exceptions. The program is tailored exclusively for veterinary technology/nursing students and must commence within six months of application.
