Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program focused on emergency medicine. Participants gain hands-on experience in various emergency skills, including patient care, lab work, and triage, under the mentorship of experienced veterinary technicians. The program is flexible in terms of duration and location, catering to the needs of students currently enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. Rabies vaccination is a prerequisite, with some exceptions based on school policies.
