Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program in Georgetown, Washington D.C. - Emergency Veterinary Medicine Opportunity

Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency veterinary medicine, including patient care, laboratory work, and collaboration in a high-paced environment. Externs can choose the duration and location of their externship, and will receive mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians. Applicants must start their externship within 6 months of application and meet rabies vaccination requirements, unless exempted by their school's policy. This opportunity is exclusive to veterinary technology/nursing students, not for veterinary or veterinary assistant students.
