Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), a rapidly expanding emergency veterinary company in the U.S., offers an externship for veterinary technician/nurse students. The program focuses on emergency skills, including triaging, patient care, and lab work, in a high-energy environment. Candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited vet tech/nursing program and begin their externship within six months of applying. While the externship is unpaid, VEG provides flexibility in duration and location, along with mentorship from experienced veterinary nurses. Rabies vaccination is required, subject to school policy exceptions.
