Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an innovative Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship, focused on emergency medicine. This hands-on program equips vet tech/nursing students with skills in patient care, laboratory work, and triage in a dynamic setting, under the mentorship of experienced veterinary nurses. The externship, while unpaid, offers flexibility in duration and location, tailored to academic requirements. Eligibility is limited to students in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs, with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by school policy.
