Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for vet tech/nursing students to gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine. This program provides opportunities to develop essential skills in patient care, laboratory processing, and emergency case management, under the guidance of experienced veterinary technicians. Available across the U.S., the program is tailored for students in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs and offers flexible duration and location choices. The externship is unpaid and requires rabies vaccination in accordance with school policies.
