Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), a rapidly expanding emergency veterinary company, offers an unpaid externship for vet tech/nursing students. The program focuses on emergency medicine, providing hands-on experience in various critical care tasks, and requires rabies vaccination unless exempted by school policy. Externs receive mentorship from experienced veterinary nurses, with flexible externship lengths and locations. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and start the externship within 6 months of application. The opportunity is exclusive to vet tech/nursing students, not for veterinary or veterinary assistant students.
