Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) is expanding and offers an externship for veterinary technician/nurse students, focusing on emergency veterinary skills in the U.S. This hands-on program includes triaging, patient care, and laboratory work in a dynamic environment. Candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program, with a requirement to start the externship within six months of application. While the externship is unpaid, VEG promises a supportive learning environment with flexible duration and location, and mentorship by experienced veterinary nurses. Rabies vaccination is a prerequisite, subject to specific school policies.
