Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on emergency medicine experience, allowing students to work alongside experienced veterinary nurses. Externs gain skills in patient care, laboratory work, and triaging in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in externship length and location is offered, with mentorship by credentialed veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, unless exempted by school policy.
