Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing vet tech/nursing students with practical emergency medicine experience. This program includes hands-on training in patient vitals, laboratory processing, and patient care, mentored by experienced veterinary technicians. Designed for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs, it offers flexible externship lengths and locations. The externship is unpaid and requires rabies vaccination according to school policy.
