The Intermediate Patient Care Extern position offers nursing students an opportunity for hands-on experience in patient care within acute care settings. Responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and collaborating with RN mentors. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited nursing program, have completed two semesters, and obtain Basic Life Support certification within 90 days. This externship aims to enhance critical thinking, time management, and communication skills while fostering relationships within the interdisciplinary healthcare team.
