Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient care, laboratory procedures, and triage. Externs have flexibility in externship length and location, with mentorship provided by experienced veterinary technicians. Applicants must be currently enrolled in accredited programs, with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by school policy.
