Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students collaborate with credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like patient vitals, laboratory sample processing, and patient care in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA-accredited program, with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by school policy, and the externship must commence within six months of application.
