Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Students gain skills in patient care, triage, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with a focus on mentorship and immersion in emergency medicine. Rabies vaccination is required, and applicants must be currently enrolled in an AVMA accredited program, with externship starting within 6 months of application.
