Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. Students gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient vitals, laboratory samples, patient care, and triage. Flexibility is key, allowing students to choose the length and location of their externship to meet school requirements. Vaccination for rabies is required unless exempted by the school's policy.
