VEG offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program focused on emergency medicine, providing hands-on experience alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Students gain skills in patient care, triage, and collaboration in a customer-centric environment. The program, available nationwide, emphasizes flexibility, mentorship, and requires enrollment in an AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing program. Vaccination for rabies is mandatory unless exempted by the school's policy.
