Emergency veterinary company VEG offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills like obtaining patient vitals, processing lab samples, and caring for hospitalized animals. Externs choose the length and location of their unpaid externship, which requires enrollment in an AVMA accredited vet tech/nursing program and rabies vaccination.
