Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. Students gain hands-on emergency medicine experience, focusing on skills like patient care, triage, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Flexibility is provided in externship length and location, with mentorship from experienced veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required, and applicants must be in a program requiring externship hours.
