Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship for veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. The program, available at various locations across the US, focuses on honing skills such as patient care, triaging, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. Students receive mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses) and must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program, vaccinated for rabies, and ready to start within six months of application.
