Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like patient care, laboratory processing, and triage. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship from experienced professionals. Enrollment in an AVMA accredited program and rabies vaccination are required.
