Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program aimed at AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on emergency medicine experience. The program provides flexibility in externship length and location, emphasizing mentorship and full immersion in emergency medicine practices. Candidates must be enrolled in an accredited program, have rabies vaccination (unless exempt per school policy), and be ready to begin the externship within six months of application.
