Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program across the United States, providing hands-on emergency medicine experience for vet tech/nursing students enrolled in AVMA accredited programs. With a focus on employee-centric values and a customer-first mentality, VEG aims to create a supportive and immersive learning environment. Students gain practical skills in emergency care, patient triage, and collaboration, guided by credentialed veterinary technicians (VEG Veterinary Nurses). Flexibility in externship length and location accommodates individual school requirements and hospital bandwidth, while rabies vaccination is mandatory unless exempted by the student's school policy.
