Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students to gain hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on vital skills like patient care and triage. The program emphasizes a customer-first mentality and an employee-centric work environment, boasting the highest NPS score in the industry. Students have flexibility in externship length and location, with mentorship provided by experienced veterinary technicians. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program, vaccinated for rabies, and able to start within 6 months of application.
