Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students collaborate with credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like triage, patient care, and laboratory procedures. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with mentorship by experienced professionals. Applicants must be enrolled in a qualifying program, with rabies vaccination required unless exempt under school policy, and externships must commence within 6 months of application.
