Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technology/nursing students seeking hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students work alongside credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on vital skills such as triaging cases, obtaining patient vitals, and collaborating in a fast-paced environment. The program provides flexibility in duration and location, emphasizing mentorship and immersion in emergency medicine. Requirements include enrollment in an AVMA accredited program, rabies vaccination, and externship commencement within 6 months of application.
