Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers a Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. This hands-on experience in emergency medicine focuses on honing skills such as obtaining patient vitals, processing laboratory samples, and triaging cases in a customer-centric environment. The unpaid externship provides flexibility in duration and location, with mentorship from credentialed veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required unless mitigated by school policy.
