Rapidly growing emergency veterinary company, Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG), offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nurse students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. The program focuses on honing skills such as patient vitals, laboratory processing, patient care, triage, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Applicants must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing program and have rabies vaccination unless exempted by their school's policy. Flexibility in externship length and location is offered, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians.
