Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for veterinary technician/nursing students, providing hands-on experience in emergency medicine. Students collaborate with credentialed veterinary technicians, focusing on skills like triaging cases, obtaining patient vitals, and caring for hospitalized animals. Flexibility in externship length and location is provided, with a focus on mentorship and immersion in emergency medicine. Candidates must be enrolled in an AVMA accredited program, with rabies vaccination required unless exempted by school policy.

Veterinary students will receive hands-on experience as well skill building. The externship will expose students to various career options in the dentistry field. Students applying for the program must be in good academic standing.
