Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid Veterinary Technician/Nurse Student Externship Program for students enrolled in AVMA accredited veterinary technology/nursing programs. The program provides hands-on experience in emergency medicine, focusing on skills like patient care, triaging, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. Students have flexibility in choosing the length and location of their externship, with mentorship provided by credentialed veterinary technicians. Rabies vaccination is required unless exempted by the school's policy.
