Veterinary Emergency Group (VEG) offers an unpaid externship program for AVMA-accredited veterinary technology/nursing students, focusing on hands-on emergency medicine experience alongside credentialed veterinary technicians. Students gain skills in patient care, triage, and collaboration, choosing the length and location of their externship to meet school requirements. Rabies vaccination is required, unless school policy allows handling unvaccinated animals. VEG prioritizes a supportive, employee-centric culture, aiming to provide both pets and employees with the best experience possible.
